As part of the celebration, we donated a giant mechanical calculating device, called DIGI-COMP II, to the lab (CSAIL), which Charles himself spent many hours working with the manufacturers, Evil Mad Scientist LLC (http://www.evilmadscientist.com/) to have it built and coordinating with the lab to ensure that it meets all safety requirements. This DIGI-COMP II is now being displayed on the Student Street in Stata Center --- you can find out more about the DIGI-COMP II on this website, or better yet, come visit the lab in person and play with it!
